Meet our Angels

What is Locks of Loss?

A serene landscape featuring mountains, a lake, and lush greenery under a clear blue sky.

Locks of Loss was created after a trip to Fort Bragg in California and discovering the Pudding Creek Trestle overlooking the calm and gorgeous seascape in Mendocino County 

We hope to honor those lives gone too soon and bring hope and healing to bereaved families suffering the loss of their loved ones due to the Fentanyl Crisis in America

If you are able to donate to cover the cost of your lock it is much appreciated.

It is just $15 per lock paid in the Donate a lock toward the bottom of our website

All other requests will be put on the Angel Wish List that we keep and cover locks as donations come in.

The memorial locks are located at the Pudding Creek Trestle footbridge, on the MacKerricher State Park rd just south and behind the Beachcomber Hotel.  Link to Google Maps. Free Parking at the Silver Gate lot.

I started Locks of Loss to honor the memories of so many of our Angels that have been lost to the Fentanyl Epidemic.

Yes please, this is in case we accidentally close the lock prior to placement so we can open it again if needed.

At this time to keep things simple we'll discard all packaging and keys after the lock is placed.

The character count limit is 500, including their name, date of birth and lock number. Please note that if you send a longer description we'll edit it down to 500 characters as best we can.

Donate a Lock

Our mission is that no parent feels a financial strain in honoring their Angel. We accept donations that will only be used toward the purchase of locks, any amount is helpful!
